Important Update for Our US Customers – New Import Tariffs from 29 August 2025

We want to make our US customers aware of important changes to import regulations that will take effect from 29 August 2025.

From this date, all shipments entering the United States will be subject to import duties, regardless of their value. This is a major change, as the current $800 “de minimis” threshold, which allows lower-value imports to enter duty-free, will no longer apply.

    What This Means for You

    • Import duty will now be charged on every order, once it reach the US border.

    • Payment of these duties is the sole responsibility of the buyer. This duties will not be paid to us, but to the US government as a form of taxation on the goods.

    • If an order is refused at the point of import, only 50% of the item cost will be refunded* once the goods are returned to us in their original condition. Shipping costs are non-refundable

    How the New Duties Work

From our understanding, the new rules establish two possible duty calculation methods for shipments sent via the international postal network:

    1. Ad valorem duty – A percentage-based duty (linked to the IEEPA tariff rate for the country of origin) applied to the value of each shipment. For UK-origin goods, the IEEPA tariff rate is currently 10%.

    2. Specific duty – A flat-rate duty ranging from $80 to $200 per item, depending on the product category and tariff rate. Tariff rate which is 10% for the UK

For the first six months after implementation, either method may be used. After that, all shipments will be subject to the ad valorem duty method. But this is still to see.

Why We’re Still Shipping to the USA

Many small businesses are choosing to stop shipping to the US because of these changes. We value our US customers and do not want to exclude you, but we must protect ourselves from financial loss.

    Before You Place an Order

By placing an order for delivery to the USA, you confirm that you:

    • Have read and understood these new import requirements.

    • Accept responsibility for any duties charged at the point of import.

    • Understand our refund policy for refused shipments.

We encourage all US customers to familiarise themselves with these changes before ordering, so there are no surprises when your parcel arrives.

*if the product is a non-refund one we will not provide any refund even if the product come back to us in perfect condition. Please see the section about refund to understand which item can receive a refund and which cannot.
